Key Responsibilities:

  • Adhere to guidance and directives from Crew Leaders and Account Managers to ensure successful project execution.
  • Operate various vehicles and powered tools related to landscape upkeep, including mowers, tractors, twin-axle vehicles, sod cutters, weed eaters, hedge trimmers, blowers, and hand tools.
  • Perform essential landscape maintenance tasks on large commercial properties, such as mowing, edging, trimming, aerating, top dressing, laying sod and mulch, planting flowers, clearing debris, digging, leaf blowing, weeding, and watering plants.
  • Efficiently utilize hand tools such as shovels, rakes, and pruning equipment.
  • Maintain and clean sidewalks, driveways, parking lots, planters, and other ground features, including litter removal.
  • Ensure proper care of equipment, materials, and uniforms, adhering to the company's dress code.
  • Load and unload power equipment, tools, materials, and debris from vehicles on a daily basis.
  • Perform minor repairs and maintenance on equipment as necessary.
  • Wash company vehicles weekly or as directed by management.
  • Participate in training sessions as required.
  • Follow company safety policies, guidelines, and instructions.
  • Exhibit consistent reliability, attendance, and adherence to work schedules.
  • Maintain a professional demeanor, integrity, and honesty in all interactions.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Ability to work collaboratively with diverse team members with humility and authenticity.
  • Experience or aptitude for landscape maintenance work.
  • Willingness to work extended hours outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Exceptional customer service skills for interacting with clients, both existing and potential.
  • Proactive in building solid relationships with clients and vendors.

Education and Experience:

  • Prior experience in landscaping, agriculture, or construction is preferred but not required.

Licenses and Certifications:

  • A valid driver's license is preferred.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including heavy lifting (up to 50 pounds), pushing, pulling, digging, and manual dexterity.
  • Work conditions may involve inadequate lighting, restricted movement, dirty environments, air contamination, extreme temperatures, intense noise, and hazardous materials.
  • Must be physically alert and aware, particularly when operating heavy machinery or driving.
