About the Role:

The Sales Associate at Southern Tide is responsible for delivering an exceptional customer experience that drives sales and embodies the brand's coastal lifestyle. This role requires a strong understanding of the company's mission and values, as well as the ability to provide prompt recommendations and professional service to customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Understand and communicate the overall concept of Southern Tide, including the lifestyle, customer, and merchandise.
  • Create an exceptional in-store experience consistent with company culture, building and cultivating effective relationships with customers.
  • Commit to delivering an optimistic, high-energy, team-oriented, and sunny store atmosphere.
  • Learn, reference, and share current product knowledge with customers, providing recommendations and professional service to enhance their shopping experience.
  • Actively participate in all store-related meetings, working towards exceeding sales and service performance goals set by store management.
  • Maintain high standards of store appearance.
  • Provide ideas to grow and improve the business.
  • Maintain the integrity of the inventory.
Requirements:
  • High School diploma or GED.
  • 0-1 years of retail experience.
  • Bending, stooping, kneeling required.
  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Routine standing for duration of shift (up to 8 hours).
  • Ability to work varied hours and days, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Additional Requirements:
  • Lift and/or move up to approximately 50 pounds frequently.
  • Bending, stooping, kneeling required - frequently.
  • Climbing ladders - occasionally.
  • Routine standing for duration of shift (up to 8 hours).
  • Ability to work varied hours and days, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Compensation:
The hourly rate for this position is $17.00/hour-$18.00/hour, based on multiple factors, including qualifications, skills, experience, geography, and state and local wage laws. Bonus and/or commission and benefits, including healthcare, retirement savings, paid time off/vacation, and product discounts, may be offered.
