Job OverviewPosition Summary

Key Responsibilities

  • Exhibits proficient patient and technical imaging capabilities by executing a range of radiological examinations while upholding the utmost standards of patient care.
  • Adheres consistently to institutional and departmental protocols for patient identification and safety.
  • Maintains necessary licensure and engages in ongoing educational opportunities.
  • Ensures competency in skill levels for imaging patient examinations.
  • Delivers age-appropriate care to a diverse patient demographic, including neonates to geriatrics.

Additional Duties

  • Undertakes other responsibilities as assigned.
  • Complies with all relevant policies and standards.
  • For detailed duties and responsibilities, refer to documentation provided during orientation.
  • Must adhere to all regulations to securely manage Protected Health Information (PHI) for patients. Annual training, the UH Code of Conduct, and UH policies are established to guide appropriate PHI usage in the workplace.
Qualifications

Educational Background

  • Associate's Degree (Required) or
  • Completion of an accredited two-year program in Radiologic Technology with appropriate Certification. (Required)

Skills and Competencies

  • Comprehensive understanding of x-ray machinery (both digital and analog), image printers, computers, PACS, and radiology information systems. (Required proficiency)
  • Must exhibit strong organizational, written, and verbal communication skills, along with exceptional customer service abilities. (Required proficiency)

Licenses and Certifications

  • Registered Technologist Radiography (ARRT-R) (Required) and
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification upon hire (Required)
  • State licensure in Ohio (Required)
