Job Overview

The Wieland Group is seeking an Electronics Recycling Specialist to join our team. This role is responsible for assisting in the processing of electronic materials by grading and sorting valuable metals along with other parts into different recycling streams.

About the Role

This entry-level position involves working directly as a liaison between the production and commercial departments. The ideal candidate will have no previous knowledge or experience related to recycling, but be eager to learn and grow with our company.

Key Responsibilities

- Sort and organize e-waste material into bins, boxes or bags
- Operate and observe machines that are chopping and separating e-waste
- Sort material by hand at shredder, sortation tables or the use of machines
- Dismantle e-waste by use of hand tools or other mechanical means
- Perform routine inspection of work area to ensure proper housekeeping

Requirements

- Ability to perform manual work requiring periods of extensive physical exertion
- Working knowledge of hazards and safety precautions common to forklift operations
- Ability to understand and carry out written and oral instructions
- Ability to meet attendance schedule with dependability and consistency
