Assembly Specialist

This manufacturing role builds the equipment that protects the critical infrastructure of the power grid, and each team member lends their unique skills to this crucial mission. The job requires assembling Mark V circuit-switchers at one of several stations, ranging in size from 6' x 10' x 10' to 15' x 15' x 15', and identifying, transporting, installing, mounting and bolting all switch components.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assembling TR-II switches, ranging in size up to 5' x 1' x 1' to 11'x 1' x 1'
• Performing mechanical inspection using torque wrenches, screwdriver and tape measure, and electrical inspection using a test console
• Using simple material handling equipment, hand tools, power tools, simple gauges and instruments, and overhead cranes

What you'll Need To Succeed:

• Demonstrate knowledge of mechanical assembly operations preferred
• Demonstrate the skills to use air impact tools and other hand-held tools
• Ability to use shop math and measuring tools such as tape measures
