Job Overview

The Assistant Project Manager plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of projects within the Electrical Construction division. This position requires strong organizational and prioritizing skills, with the ability to multi-task and work effectively in a team environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist project managers with preconstruction folders, project schedules, and subcontractor agreements.
  • Maintain project schedules for superintendents, match and code invoices, and distribute them for approval.
  • Set up subcontractor agreements, payment requisitions, and work closely with project managers on submittals.
  • Maintain subcontractor insurance and service provider agreements, organize and maintain superintendent books, and update plans and progress photos.
  • Obtain shop drawing information from subcontractors and suppliers, analyze project drawings, and perform project takeoffs.
Requirements

This position requires an understanding of project management in a construction office. An associate's degree in electrical engineering, construction management, or a similar field, along with 1-2 years of experience in the construction industry or a similar role, is preferred. Airport electrical experience is a plus.

Required skills include strong organizational and prioritizing skills, ability to multi-task, computer skills in MS Excel and Word software programs, efficient verbal and written communication, accurate data entry, and moderate analysis and interpretation for problem-solving.
