At Harmony Senior Services, we are seeking a skilled Medication Aide to join our team. As a Medication Aide, you will play a vital role in providing quality care and assistance to our residents.
Responsibilities- Assist with the administration of prescribed medications within the established scope of practice.
- Provide support with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Encourage residents to function at their highest level of independence and participate in community activities.
- Conduct activities and provide a meaningful experience for all residents.
- Ensure a pleasurable dining experience and represent the community in a positive manner at all times.
- Must have a High School Diploma or GED.
- Must have successfully passed the written examination and possess a current Medication Aide Certification, in good standing.
- Must have worked as a medication aide during the previous 24 months in an adult care home.
- Must have successfully completed the clinical skills validation portion of the competency evaluation.
- Must satisfactorily pass 2 medication observations annually.
- Must satisfactorily pass all medication cart audits assigned.
- Must be able to effectively communicate verbally and in-writing.
- Must be organized and able to work well with all levels of personnel.
- Must be a contributing member of the nursing team and follow instruction of supervisor.
- Must be polite and considerate of residents, visitors, and co-workers at all times.
- Must be able to walk and stand for extended periods of time.
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs, and push or carry 25 lbs.
- Must be able to safely lift and transfer residents while maintaining proper body mechanics.
This is a part-time position, working 7a-3p, every other weekend, and 1-2 shifts during the week, totaling no more than 24 hours.
