Overview

Bergmann, an affiliate of Colliers Engineering & Design, is currently seeking skilled Electrical Engineers to contribute to our team in Southfield, MI. Our MEP engineers have extensive experience in various projects, including power generation & distribution, lighting systems, fire alarms, security, and access control systems.

We design new and renovated systems, as well as energy controls. Our team offers both new building commissioning and retro-commissioning. Our experts are skilled at reducing energy usage while creating comfortable interior environments. Our professional engineers evaluate how the design impacts both short-term capital costs and long-term operational costs. Our team can also conduct constructability reviews to lower project costs and shorten the time to completion.

Responsibilities
  • Participate in design development using Revit and AGI Lighting software
  • Assist in verifying that all design aspects comply with local code and apply code provisions
  • Perform field inspections, measurements, or calculations and document
  • Assist in research to material qualities, feasibility, restrictions, etc.
  • Collaborate with other disciplines to provide a coordinated design
Qualifications
  • Associate Degree in Electrical Technology and/or a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Minimum of 2 years electrical (architectural) engineering design experience is required
  • Intermediate to advanced level of Revit and AGI Lighting software skills preferred
  • Passion for power, lighting, and fire alarm design
  • Willing to travel to client locations, as needed
  • EIT is a plus but not required
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to climb a ladder
