About the Role

Foundation Health Partners is seeking a highly skilled Echocardiogram Technician to join our Cardiology team in a dynamic and patient-centered environment. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging team, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our organization.

Responsibilities
  • Perform echocardiogram procedures by following and verifying referring providers' orders, utilizing independent judgment and applying learned methodologies according to established policy and procedures.
  • Educate patients and families regarding procedures and treatments, demonstrating professional behavior and fostering teamwork, efficient use of resources, and quality patient outcomes.
  • Produce high-quality images and prepare/present them with other pertinent patient information for timely interpretation, maintaining accurate documentation and adhering to safety policies.
  • Perform and evaluate equipment quality control measurements, demonstrating the ability to troubleshoot and notify appropriate personnel to maintain equipment performance, ensuring a safe environment for patients, personnel, and visitors.
  • Accountable for the ethical, legal, professional, and certification responsibilities related to the practice, maintaining confidentiality of all work information and assuring the efficient operation of workflow in the department.
Requirements
  • National certification in the area of specialty from the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers or from Cardiovascular Credentialing International.
  • 1-2 years of experience in an acute care hospital setting, with a strong background in echocardiography imaging or vascular imaging.
  • Effective communication skills, human relations skills, and the ability to analyze data and solve problems.
