Job SummaryWe are looking for a dedicated and compassionate RN to work in our Internal Cardiac/Stroke/Geriatric float pool. As a Float Stroke Nurse, you will have the opportunity to work in various units within our facility, including the ICU and ED, and gain valuable experience in a variety of settings.
Responsibilities- Provide high-quality patient care, utilizing the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized interventions.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to coordinate patient-centered care and develop a therapeutic relationship with patients and families.
- Anticipate and recognize significant changes in patient condition, status, and need for care, and alter the plan of care as needed.
- Implement strategies to reduce patient risk and increase patient safety, applying evidence-based practice to deliver patient care.
- Participate in quality/process improvement initiatives to improve the functions of the department and the patient care experience.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA).
- Completion of an accredited or approved program in Nursing.
- Typically requires 1 year of experience in clinical nursing.
- Proficient computer skills, use of electronic mail and electronic medical records systems.
- Demonstrates coordination, collaboration, delegation, and team building skills.
