Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Facilities Manager to oversee the maintenance and repair of our facilities, ensuring they meet safety and operational standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all installation, repair, and upkeep operations of the company's facilities, ensuring compliance with health and safety policies and regulations.
- Develop and implement maintenance procedures to ensure efficient and safe operations, including electrical controls, machine maintenance, mechanical maintenance, and HVAC systems.
- Plan and oversee all repair and installation activities, including electrical controls, machine maintenance, mechanical maintenance, and HVAC systems.
- Monitor equipment inventory and place orders as necessary to maintain optimal levels.
- Monitor expenses and control the budget for maintenance, ensuring cost-effectiveness and efficiency.
- Ensure that all mechanical systems, such as chillers, air conditioning, and refrigeration, are functioning efficiently and effectively.
- Manage relationships with contractors and service providers, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery of services.
- Maintain accurate maintenance logs and report on daily activities, providing insights for continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Facilities Manager or relevant position (5+ years), with a strong track record of maintaining facilities and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Proven experience in the following areas: repair, electrical controls, machine maintenance, mechanical maintenance, cooling, chillers, equipment, air conditioning, carpentry, piping, food processing, hydraulic, refrigeration, HVAC systems, electrical troubleshooting, and motors.
- In-depth knowledge of health and safety regulations and standards, with the ability to develop and implement effective maintenance procedures.
- Familiarity with plumbing, electrical, sewer, and HVAC systems, with proficiency in the use of hand and power tools.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to manage personnel and meet financial targets.
- Degree in Facility Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or relevant field (desired).
