Recreational Therapist

As a Recreational Therapist at Trinity Health, you will play a vital role in helping patients recover from illness or disability and adjust to their new circumstances. You will work closely with physicians and other treatment team members to plan and implement therapeutic activity and recreation programs that cater to the unique needs of each patient.
Key Responsibilities
Assess patients' functional status and develop individually tailored therapy goals in collaboration with physicians and other treatment team members.
Design and implement activity and recreation programs that promote physical, mental, and social well-being.
Provide group and individual therapy sessions to assist patients in developing interpersonal relationships, leisure education, and adapted sports skills.
Budget program funds and manage inventory, storage, and replacement of equipment and supplies.
Maintain accurate records of patient progress and contribute to treatment team meetings.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Therapeutic Recreation or Music Therapy.
Current certification in Recreation Therapy from the National Council for Therapeutic Recreation Certification (NCTRC) or certification and registration from the National Association for Music Therapy and the Certification Board for Music Therapists.
Six to twelve months of related experience.
