Mixology Specialist

We are seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Mixology Specialist to join our dynamic team at Hot Java Events. The ideal candidate will have a passion for mixology, exceptional customer service skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

The estimated salary range for this position is $25-$35 per hour plus tips, making it a competitive offering in the industry.

As a Mixology Specialist at Hot Java Events, you will be responsible for crafting delicious cocktails, providing outstanding service to our guests, and contributing to a fun and energetic atmosphere. Your key responsibilities will include:

• Preparing and serving a variety of cocktails, including classics and specialty drinks
• Providing excellent customer service, ensuring a positive and enjoyable experience for all guests
• Maintaining a clean and organized bar area, including stocking supplies and cleaning equipment
• Handling cash and credit transactions accurately using the point-of-sale (POS) system
• Monitoring and managing inventory levels, alerting management when supplies are low
• Adhering to all health, safety, and alcohol service regulations
• Assisting in creating and updating the cocktail menu
• Engaging with customers, making recommendations and answering questions about the menu
• Working collaboratively with other staff members to ensure efficient and smooth operations
• Handling customer complaints and feedback in a professional manner
• Participating in training sessions and staff meetings as required

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• Previous bartending experience, preferably in a high-volume setting
• Strong knowledge of mixology and cocktail preparation
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
• Proficiency in using point-of-sale (POS) systems
• Strong organizational and time management abilities
• Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays
• Must be of legal age to serve alcohol in Missouri
• Certification in bartending or mixology is a plus
