Key Responsibilities- Pre-Operative Preparation: Assist in preparing the operating room and equipment for surgical procedures, ensuring that all necessary supplies and instruments are available.
- Surgical Assistance: Provide technical assistance to surgeons and other medical staff during surgical procedures, maintaining a sterile environment and handling instruments and equipment as needed.
- Patient Care: Provide emotional support and reassurance to patients and their families, ensuring their comfort and well-being throughout the surgical process.
- Post-Operative Care: Assist in preparing patients for recovery, ensuring that they are comfortable and safe during the post-operative period.
- Communication: Maintain effective communication with surgical staff, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless coordination of care.
- Quality Assurance: Participate in quality improvement initiatives, identifying areas for improvement and contributing to the development of policies and procedures to enhance patient care and safety.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; technical or other training preferred.
- Certifications: C-Cert Surgical Tech and BLS certification preferred.
