Nursing Assistant Job Description

Job Summary:

At Northern Light Health, we are seeking a skilled Nursing Assistant to join our team at Lakewood Cont Care Center. As a Nursing Assistant, you will provide high-quality patient care under the direction of our nursing staff. This is an exciting opportunity to make a difference in the lives of our patients and their families.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct and indirect patient care, including feeding, bathing, dressing, grooming, and moving patients.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, physicians, and other healthcare team members to ensure successful customer outcomes.
  • Precept new team members and orient patients to the hospital environment and routine.
  • Participate in unit quality improvement initiatives and attend educational peer opportunities.
  • Document all aspects of patient care in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Label and deliver specimens per policy and maintain a safe environment complying with Northern Light Health policies and procedures.

Requirements:

  • Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification.
  • High School Diploma or General Educational Development (GED) equivalent.

Work Environment:

As a Nursing Assistant at Lakewood Cont Care Center, you will work in a dynamic and supportive environment. You will be required to lift, move, and load 30 to 50 pounds and work alternate shift schedules, including days, evenings, nights, and weekends.
