We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Senior Financial Consultant with a robust background in financial management, budgeting, and asset oversight to join our mission. Your meticulous attention to detail and outstanding analytical capabilities will enhance the company's financial and accounting operations. Reporting to the Financial Planning Manager and collaborating with the Accounting Manager, you will be integral to the Finance & Accounting team, driving company growth and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Planning & Analysis:

  • Collaborate with departmental leaders to formulate and oversee annual budgets at both the departmental and project levels, encompassing labor and non-labor expenses.
  • Evaluate financial forecasts, performing regular variance analyses and updates to ensure precise alignment of forecasting and budgeting.
  • Offer financial insights and recommendations to budget holders and stakeholders, ensuring effective resource distribution and financial outcomes.
Accounting & Financial Oversight:
  • Oversee the management of fixed and capital assets, including decisions regarding capital allocation, depreciation, and accurate financial reporting.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of the cost structure associated with capital projects, providing financial support and insights to project leaders.
  • Work closely with procurement to verify purchase order expenses, track payment schedules, and ensure correct accounting practices.
Additional Duties:
  • Prepare financial reports and presentations for senior management.
  • Assist in the implementation of financial and accounting software to enhance processes and improve data accuracy.
  • Serve as a liaison between the Finance & Accounting team and other departments, promoting effective communication and collaboration.
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related analytical discipline.
  • 5-8 years of experience in financial analysis, emphasizing financial management, budgeting, and asset oversight.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel, including complex functions for financial analysis.
  • Strong analytical abilities with a knack for managing and interpreting large datasets while ensuring organization and data integrity.
  • Proven expertise in applying financial analysis skills and accounting principles within a corporate context.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, capable of conveying intricate financial concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to excel in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with data modeling and visualization tools such as PowerBI, Tableau, etc.
  • Background in a start-up or rapidly expanding company.
  • Advanced understanding of accounting principles and the capability to analyze financial statements.
