Key Responsibilities:- Job Evaluation and Market Analysis: Conduct thorough job evaluations and market analyses to support compensation decisions and program recommendations.
- Job Description Maintenance: Maintain accurate job descriptions for all positions within the organization and ensure alignment with job duties performed.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement and best practices in business processes.
- Documentation: Document new procedures and business process workflows.
- Compensation Surveys: Participate in third-party compensation surveys to stay up-to-date on industry standards.
- Research and Analysis: Perform research with peer companies and similar external markets to inform compensation decisions.
- Job Profiling and Leveling: Analyze job profiles and specifications using job evaluation and leveling techniques.
- Compensation Alignment: Align jobs and establish compensation parameters equitable within the organization and competitive to the external market.
- Exemption Status and Compliance: Ensure all reviewed jobs have the proper exemption status, meet compliance requirements, and regulatory standards.

Requirements:- Education: Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field preferred. In lieu of a degree, 4+ years of experience in compensation with a strong understanding of job evaluation techniques will be considered.
- Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in compensation or a related field.
- Industry Experience: Previous Supply Chain industry experience is helpful, while Railroad industry experience is highly desirable.
- Skills: Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and communicate data effectively. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other relevant software applications.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Compensation Software: Knowledgeable/Proficient in Compensation Software - Payfactors proficiency a plus.
- Union Environment: Compensation experience within a Union environment is a nice to have.
- Remote Work: Ability to work well independently and remotely.
