About the RoleWe're seeking a talented Software Engineer to join our team. As a Software Engineer, you will be responsible for developing high-quality software for embedded systems, including microcontrollers. You will also work on integrating and managing autonomous vehicle functions, such as auto-driving, power, networking, and cleaning.
Responsibilities- Develop software for embedded systems using C++
- Integrate and manage autonomous vehicle functions
- Analyze field data and simulation results
- Participate in cross-functional workflows
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Robotics, or similar field
- At least 2 years of professional experience developing production software in modern C++
- Experience with C++ patterns, idioms, and unit test methodology
- At least 5 years of professional experience developing production software in modern C++
- In-depth understanding of microcontroller-based Embedded Systems and associated development and debugging tools
- Experience with safety critical systems and functional safety
- Experience with cybersecurity
Waymo employees are eligible to participate in our discretionary annual bonus program, equity incentive plan, and generous Company benefits program, subject to eligibility requirements. The expected base salary range for this full-time position is $158,000 - $200,000 USD.
