Job Summary

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) at SENTA Partners plays a vital role in providing high-quality patient care in our ENT and Allergy clinics. Key Responsibilities
  • Direct Patient Care: Provide nursing care to patients under the supervision of physicians and registered nurses, ensuring their comfort and safety.
  • Patient Assessments: Assist with patient assessments, including taking vital signs, recording medical histories, and preparing patients for examinations.
  • Medication Administration: Administer medications, injections, and other treatments as directed by the physician.
  • Lab Tests and Specimens: Perform routine lab tests, collect specimens, and prepare samples for analysis.
  • Diagnostic Tests and Procedures: Assist with diagnostic tests, treatments, and procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
  • Patient Education: Educate patients and families on health maintenance, disease prevention, and care plans.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in electronic health systems, ensuring documentation is complete and accurate.
  • Examination Room Preparation: Prepare and maintain examination rooms, including cleaning and sterilizing instruments and equipment.
  • Patient Flow Management: Manage patient flow, scheduling, and follow-up appointments to support efficient clinic operations.
  • Communication: Respond to patient inquiries, phone calls, and triage calls, providing appropriate guidance and information.
  • Quality Assurance: Participate in quality assurance and improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and clinic efficiency.
  • Compliance: Maintain compliance with all healthcare regulations, including OSHA and HIPAA requirements.
Qualifications
  • Education: Graduate of an accredited LPN program.
  • Licensure: Active and unrestricted LPN license in the state of practice.
  • Certification: CPR/BLS certification required.
  • Experience: Previous experience in a clinical or outpatient setting, preferably in ENT or Allergy.
  • Clinical Skills: Strong clinical skills, with a focus on patient safety and quality care.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in using electronic health records (EHR) systems and basic computer applications.
  • Teamwork: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and accuracy, and demonstrated ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
