Job Title: Part-Time Collections Specialist

Job Summary: Dubols Home Care is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Collections Specialist to join our team. As a Collections Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the financial stability of our organization by managing accounts receivable and accounts payable, communicating with clients and insurance companies collecting outstanding patient co payments, co insurances and unpaid claims.

Responsibilities:

Account Management:

Maintain accurate records of client accounts, payments, and outstanding balances.

Generate invoices for patient copays and posting payments.

Calling insurance companies to inquire on the status of unpaid claims.

Posting payments from insurance claims and following up with unpaid claims.

Invoicing and Billing:

Generate and send invoices to clients in a timely manner.

Verify that invoices are accurate and include all relevant details.

Payment Tracking:

Track payments from clients and reconcile them with invoices.

Follow up on overdue payments and send reminders to clients as needed.

Customer Communication:

Communicate with clients regarding billing inquiries, discrepancies, and payment arrangements.

Provide excellent customer service to address clients' payment concerns.

Collections:

Initiate the collections process for delinquent accounts.

Work with clients to establish repayment plans when necessary.

Collaborate with management to escalate collections efforts as needed.

Reporting:

Prepare regular reports on accounts receivable and collections status for management.

Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations related to collections and billing practices.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in finance or related field is a plus.

Proven experience in collections, accounts receivable, or a related role.

Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.

Proficiency in using accounting software and Microsoft Office applications.

Familiarity with healthcare billing and insurance is a plus.

Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

Working Hours:

This is a part-time position, with 20-30 hours per week expected, weekdays only and regular business hours.

Flexible hours can be arranged to accommodate the right candidate.
