We are seeking a temporary Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team at the Iowa Veterans Home. This is a non-merit temporary position with the Iowa Department of Veterans Affairs.
The selected candidate will work full-time hours on the night shift, with a minimum of 15 weeks or up to 780 hours. The rate of pay is $37.80 per hour for night shift work.
The position requires the candidate to work 8:15 P.M. to 6:15 A.M., with one out of three weekends. This position is not eligible for benefits, but the candidate may apply for a permanent position at the end of the 15 weeks if interested.
The ideal candidate will have current LPN certification and be able to work independently with minimal supervision. The selected candidate will be subject to a Criminal Background Check, Dependent Adult Abuse and Child Abuse Check.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality patient care as a Licensed Practical Nurse
- Work collaboratively with the healthcare team to ensure excellent patient outcomes
- Meet the minimum qualification requirements for the position
Requirements:
- Current LPN certification
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
