KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
I. Meal Preparation
1. Understand daily menu specifications.
2. Adhere to recipe guidelines.
3. Recognize optimal times for meal preparation.
4. Ensure proper storage of prepared meals prior to serving.
5. Accountable for preparing designated dishes.
6. Follow the established daily meal preparation timetable.
II. Food Preservation
1. Ensure food is stored at correct temperatures.
2. Implement a first-in, first-out system for food inventory.
3. Keep accurate records of food removed from storage.
III. Serving Responsibilities
1. Provide service to students and staff in a courteous manner.
2. Serve only designated portions to all patrons.
3. Present a tidy and appealing meal tray.
4. Safeguard food quality between serving times.
IV. Personal Conduct
1. Uphold high standards of personal cleanliness.
2. Follow directives from the supervisor.
3. Maintain a positive demeanor towards colleagues and patrons.
4. Complete assigned tasks punctually.
5. Arrive at work on schedule.
6. Accept additional responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor.

Dress Code:
Adhere to a dress code that includes clean pants or jeans and tidy tops, which may include t-shirts or scrubs. Jewelry should be limited to a plain wedding band. Appropriate footwear is required.
V. Sanitation Duties
1. Keep the work area clean and organized.
2. Undertake dishwashing duties when assigned.
3. Thoroughly clean equipment, floors, storage areas, restrooms, walls, furniture, and windows as directed.
4. Dispose of waste and sanitize receptacles.
5. Ensure mops are kept clean and stored properly.
VI. Compliance
Adhere to all local, state, and federal regulations and procedures related to the operation of a child nutrition program. Follow all food safety protocols.

OBJECTIVE:

To provide students with appealing and nutritious meals in an environment characterized by efficiency, cleanliness, and friendliness.
