About the Role:

We are looking for a talented Clinical Assessment Professional to work collaboratively with hospitals, emergency rooms, and mobile assessment teams to facilitate direct admissions and MOT transfers. This role involves receiving inquiry calls, assisting callers with scheduling face-to-face assessments or triage to appropriate community referrals, and assessing patients who present for evaluation.

The ideal candidate will have strong clinical assessment skills, be able to interpret treatment plans to patients and their families, and possess excellent communication and administrative skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work directly with hospitals, emergency rooms, and mobile assessment teams to facilitate direct admissions and MOT transfers
  • Receive inquiry calls and assist callers with scheduling face-to-face assessments or triage to appropriate community referrals
  • Assess patients who present for evaluation, ensuring medical and behavioral emergency conditions are identified
  • Perform comprehensive assessments and provide quality therapeutic care to patients seeking treatment for substance abuse, dual diagnosis, psychiatric, or emotional disorders
  • Coordinate with clinical teams and physicians to ensure patient needs are met
  • Interpret treatment plans to patients and their families, reducing fear and improving acceptance of care
  • Complete administrative processes related to admission and precertification of care with external payers

Qualifications:

  • Current RN licensure
  • Valid driver's license and favorable Motor Vehicle Report (MVR), along with proof of insurance when using own vehicle
  • Ability to meet typing keyboard expectations
  • CPR and CPI certification within 30 days
  • Prior experience in a psychiatric healthcare facility working with adult and geriatric patients preferred
