As an ICU Nurse with The University of Kansas Health System, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. Our ICU team is dedicated to delivering exceptional patient outcomes and exceeding our patients' expectations.
Responsibilities:- Provide direct patient care to critically ill patients, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, and monitor patients' responses to therapy.
- Conduct thorough assessments of patients' physical and emotional needs, and develop plans to address these needs.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure seamless care coordination.
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Kansas.
- 1-2 years of experience in ICU nursing, preferably in a teaching hospital setting.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
