Electrician (PS)(M) - Reclamation

Bureau of Reclamation is seeking a skilled Electrician (PS)(M) to join our team. As an Electrician (PS)(M), you will be responsible for installing, modifying, repairing, and testing electrical circuits, systems, fixtures, controls, and equipment. You will also connect and service high and low voltage power transformers, distribution transformers, instrument transformers, circuit breakers, bus work, and various types of switches.

• Install, modify, repair, and test electrical circuits, systems, fixtures, controls, and equipment.
• Connect and service high and low voltage power transformers, distribution transformers, instrument transformers, circuit breakers, bus work, and various types of switches.
• Operate high voltage switches and related devices.
• Install switchboards, relays, contractors, motor controllers, and other electrical equipment in switchyards and hydroelectric generating plants.

• Must be a U.S. Citizen or U.S. National.
• Must be suitable for federal employment, determined by a background investigation.
• Must submit a resume and supporting documentation.
• Must meet any minimum experience requirements.

Your application materials must demonstrate sufficient experience and training to perform the duties of a journey level Electrician (PS)(M) without more than normal supervision. Qualifications will be determined on the basis of information submitted within your resume and responses to the assessment questions.

This is a competitive, temporary promotion (UPCODE) announcement for a duration of up to one (1) year, and may be extended in one (1) year increments up to 5 years, from the time of selection. This temporary promotion action may be made permanent without further competition.
