Mechanical Engineer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join our team at Holtec Palisades. As a Mechanical Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining the design basis for each site and supporting the maintenance of the licensing basis.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide cost-effective modification designs to improve plant, system, or equipment performance.

Provide technical support to operations, maintenance, engineering, and other site organizations.

Support safe, reliable operation by identifying and effectively resolving issues via the corrective action and work management processes.

Develop engineering products in accordance with defined standards and procedures.

Requirements:

B.S. Degree in Mechanical Engineering or other closely related scientific discipline.

5+ years' experience in nuclear power design, operations, or equivalent, depending upon engineering level.

Experience in site or corporate Licensing organizations.

Good to excellent communication skills and experience/proficiency in PC use and applications, depending on Engineering level.

Preferred Qualifications:

SRO license or certification on a PWR or BWR; Professional Engineering license.
