  • Coordinate Patient Appointments and Scheduling: Arrange for patient appointments for diagnostic testing, consults, referrals, and admission to the hospital, ensuring timely and effective care coordination.
  • Manage Medical Supplies and Equipment: Monitor and maintain stock of medical supplies and ensure the proper functioning of equipment, ensuring a safe and efficient work environment.
  • Document Patient Information: Accurately document patient's vital statistics and other encounter data into patient charts, ensuring all required records are complete and up-to-date.
  • Communicate with Patients and Families: Obtain brief medical histories and chief complaints from patients, ensuring clear and effective communication.
  • Prepare Exam Rooms and Equipment: Prepare exam rooms with necessary instruments, supplies, and equipment, ensuring a clean and organized environment.
  • Manage Clinically Related Calls: Receive and return clinically related telephone calls, screening and forwarding those requiring physician action.
  • Complete Medical History Forms: Complete medical/physical history forms and other related information for insurance companies, ensuring accurate and timely submission.
  • Inform Physicians of Schedule Changes: Inform physicians of changes in schedule, ensuring seamless care coordination.
Requirements:
  • Education: Associate's Degree in Nursing; BSN preferred.
  • Licensure: Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in South Carolina.
