Dental Assistant

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Dental Assistant to join our team at Carus Dental - South Central. As a Dental Assistant, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care and supporting our dentists in providing high-quality dental services.
Key Responsibilities- Greet and welcome patients, ensuring a positive and comfortable experience throughout their dental journey.
- Conduct thorough reviews of patient health histories to provide quality care.
- Take and process x-rays and other diagnostic assessments using advanced technology, such as the iTero 3D scanner.
- Provide superior chairside assistance to supported dentists during a wide range of procedures.
- Utilize Dentrix for patient scheduling and record keeping, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information.
- Prepare treatment rooms with strict adherence to safety protocols and follow OSHA & CDC recommendations.
- Manage supply and inventory levels, as well as place and expedite orders as needed.
- Partner with providers and team members to implement Heartland Dental systems and maximize office workflow.

- Working knowledge of dental procedures and terminology.
- Experience working in a fast-paced and customer-centric environment.
- Dental assistant certification and/or x-ray certification, if required under the state dental practice act.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- 1+ years of experience in a dental setting.
- Dentrix or other dental software experience.
- Dental assisting school certification.
We are committed to maintaining a safe and healthy environment for both team members and patients. A tuberculosis (TB) test is required for all new hires in dental office positions. This is a standard requirement for dental office roles and must be completed prior to starting employment. The test will be arranged during the pre-employment process, and any necessary guidance or paperwork will be provided. Not applicable in the state of FL & TN.
