Summary:
The Senior Member Services Consultant III is responsible for delivering outstanding member service while providing advanced consultative support. This role requires accountability for cross-selling goals and promotional opportunities available to our members. The consultant will utilize their extensive knowledge of various financial services, including account management, certificate renewals, and assistance with bookkeeping and checking account inquiries.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Open new accounts through the Meridian system, ensuring compliance with eligibility requirements.
  • Facilitate home banking setup, including e-statements.
  • Issue debit and credit cards on an instant basis.
  • Manage member account and card fraud claims.
  • Process payroll deductions and authorization forms.
  • Renew and update certificate accounts.
  • Serve as an IRA Certified Specialist, maintaining IRA accounts and addressing member inquiries.
  • Process and fund loan applications as available.
  • Conduct credit reviews when opening new member accounts.
  • Follow up with members via calls and emails.
  • Cross-sell and refer additional products such as mortgages and investment services.
  • Maintain advanced knowledge of all loan products.
  • Process Home Equity Line of Credit (HELOC) applications.
  • Provide Notary Public services.
  • Assist team members and cover the teller line as needed.
  • Lead by example to achieve branch and organizational goals.
  • Assist in training new team members.
  • Achieve Certified Financial Counselor designation through the CUNA program.
  • Complete required reports and records accurately and promptly.
  • Perform other duties as necessary.

Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of three years of experience in personal banking, preferably within credit union operations.
  • Leadership experience is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of credit union services and products.
  • Experience with processing home equity lines of credit.
  • Solid understanding of relevant regulations and statutes.
Desired Certifications:
  • NMLS License
  • IRA Certification
  • Notary Certification
