Job Description

 

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Equipment Specialist to join our team at AdaptHealth LLC. As a key member of our delivery and sales team, you will be responsible for ensuring safe delivery, providing setup, and education in the usage of home medical equipment for our customers.

 

About the Role

 

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalency and possess strong customer service skills. Previous experience in entry-level sales, customer service, or healthcare technology is preferred. You will also be required to maintain a valid driver's license and be able to drive independently as needed.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and Maintain Knowledge: Develop and maintain working knowledge of current HME products and services offered by the company and all applicable governmental regulations.
  • Customer Education: Educate customers in proper use and care of respiratory and HME equipment in a home setting.
  • Documentation: Complete required documentation following equipment setup, delivery, or pickups as required.
  • Emergency Assistance: Assist with customer equipment problems under emergency conditions.
  • Order Processing: Process all orders in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Sales Promotion: Promote services and products to referral sources in the community as appropriate.
  • Quality Improvement: Assist with implementation of quality improvement programs to meet company policies.
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Safely drive and maintain company vehicle.
  • Patient Assessment: Perform patient assessment and re-assessment for patient care.
  • Maintenance and Repair: Perform routine preventative maintenance and simple repairs on equipment as required in accordance with company policies.
  • Hazard Reporting: Report equipment hazards and/or product incidents as required in accordance with company policies and procedures.

 

Requirements

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalency.
  • Experience: Entry-level sales, customer service background essential. One year of military, delivery driver with sales component, or healthcare technician experience considered related experience and preferred.
  • Licenses and Certifications: Valid and unrestricted driver's license in the state of residence.
