RN - Mechanical Heart Coordinator at Providence Summary

The Clinical Heart Care Specialist plays a pivotal role in coordinating care for mechanical heart patients, providing both technical and clinical support.

Responsibilities include managing ventricular assist devices, conducting patient education, and facilitating care conferences for complex cases.

This full-time position requires a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing and involves active participation in the transplant committee and patient progress monitoring.

As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for assignments involving technical and clinical support to include ventricular assist device preparation, device readiness, implant period management, device monitoring, post-implant analysis, and clinical training.

You will coordinate hospital admissions and monitor clinical progress while effectively utilizing the transplant committee as an opportunity for care conference regarding difficult cases.

Provides professional, peer, and patient education, and participates in the development of patient education programs.

To succeed in this role, you must have:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
  • Washington Registered Nurse License upon hire
  • 5 years of Acute, Ambulatory or Clinic nursing experience

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 3 years of recent experience in critical care/transplant nursing
