We are seeking a highly skilled Overhead Crane Technician to join our facilities team at Tesla, Inc. About the Facilities Team
Our facilities team is responsible for the maintenance and operation of our overhead cranes. We are looking for a highly skilled Overhead Crane Technician to join our team and contribute to the success of our company. If you have a passion for mechanical engineering and want to be part of a dynamic team, we encourage you to apply.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical support and guidance to internal stakeholders on crane installation, operation, and maintenance
- Lead or contribute to crane engineering projects from concept to completion, ensuring adherence to budget and schedule
- Stay informed about industry standards, codes, and regulations related to cranes and ensure that designs and operations comply with relevant requirements
- Investigate and resolve technical issues related to crane operation and maintenance, and provide recommendations for improvements
What You'll Need
- Bachelor's degree in an engineering field or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of experience in mechanical engineering, civil engineering, structural engineering, or other engineering disciplines
- 1+ years of experience with bridge cranes or mobile cranes with hands-on expertise
- Familiarity with mobile cranes lifting equipment, or heavy machinery
- Experience with automation and controls
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment;
- Strong communication skills and the ability to interact with stakeholders at all levels
