Job Overview

The primary focus of this position is on fluid assessments and essential upkeep of vehicles. An Automotive Fluid Maintenance Specialist will be responsible for changing oil, checking transmission fluid and other fluid levels, inspecting belts and filters, and monitoring air levels and gauges.

Compensation: Starting at $16 per hour

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct tests to ensure systems and components are secure and functioning correctly.
  • Identify and isolate systems or components that may have caused issues.
  • Perform test drives for diagnostic purposes.
  • Maintain high efficiency and accuracy in diagnosing and repairing vehicles.
  • Proactively repair or replace worn parts to prevent vehicle breakdowns.
  • Utilize power tools, machine tools, and standard hand tools for various tasks.
Required Qualifications
  • Proficient in quickly identifying problems.
  • Strong knowledge of automotive systems.
  • Excellent analytical and communication skills.
  • Solid reading, computer, and mathematical abilities.
  • Willingness to learn new technologies and service procedures.
  • Comfortable using electronic diagnostic tools.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Technical degree is preferred.
  • ASE certifications are a plus.
  • At least 1 year of experience in a service department.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
  • Capability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Basic computer proficiency.
  • Positive and friendly demeanor.
