Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as a pivotal resource for all quality-related requirements, processes, and issues, collaborating with a team of 6-8 quality engineers.
  • Support Quality Management in spearheading significant continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Utilize statistical methods to gather, analyze, and interpret data, enhancing production efficiency.
  • Engage directly with both internal and external clients to address inquiries, concerns, and quality-related issues.
  • Work closely with various departments to resolve quality challenges, ensuring prompt corrective actions are implemented and verified.
  • Assist the inspection department with internal investigations and material disposition.
  • Conduct internal audits, customer audits, and supplier assessments as required.

Qualifications:

  • A bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering, or Industrial Technology is essential.
  • Preferably 8 years of quality experience; however, candidates with 5-6 years may also be considered.
  • Experience in an ISO-certified environment, particularly AS9100 (aerospace) or IATF13485 (automotive), is highly desirable.
  • Six Sigma Certification is strongly preferred (Black, Green, or Yellow belt). Experience with methodologies such as Kaizen, Kanban, scrap reduction, 5S, and 8D is also valuable.
  • Familiarity with Statistical Process Control (SPC), including PPAPs, APQPs, RCA, and Gage R&R.
  • Internal or external auditing experience is preferred; certification as an auditor is a significant advantage.
  • Ability to thrive in a high-volume, fast-paced work environment.
  • Experience with Minitab for statistical analysis is a plus.
  • ASQ Certification or Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) is an additional asset.
