Job Summary

As a Delivery Driver at White Cap, you will play a critical role in ensuring timely and safe delivery of merchandise to our customers. This position requires a high level of attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine inspections of vehicles and supplies to ensure road safety.
  • Plan routes to and from customers' businesses, adjusting for traffic and/or construction.
  • Ensure manifests are complete and accurate.
  • Deliver merchandise to customers and contact them if they are not present.
  • Load trucks with daily merchandise to be delivered and unload merchandise for customers.
  • Pull orders to match manifests.
  • Prepare and maintain records in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Provide assistance to resolve customer issues.
Work Environment

This role requires working in a comfortable environment with regular exposure to factors that may cause noticeable discomfort or a moderate risk of accident or illness, such as temperature extremes, moving machinery, loud noises, and fumes.

Requires intermittent periods of continuous physical exertion, including walking, standing, stooping, climbing, lifting, and maneuvering material or equipment that may be heavy (50+ pounds) or awkward.

Requirements
  • HS Diploma or GED strongly preferred.
  • Specialized skills training/certification may be required.
  • Generally 2-5 years of experience in area of responsibility.
  • Clean Driving Record.
  • Ability to Pay Close Attention to Detail.
  • Safety Minded.
  • Knowledge of Tools.
  • Knowledge of DOT Regulations.
  • Reliability.
  • Ability to lift 50-90lbs.
  • Forklift Experience.
