Key Responsibilities:
The Charge Nurse plays a pivotal role in the management of the nursing unit, ensuring high standards of patient care and operational efficiency. Responsibilities include:
- Patient Care (50%):
- Deliver exemplary nursing care, adhering to the highest standards of practice.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to formulate and execute comprehensive patient care strategies.
- Maintain precise and timely documentation of patient evaluations, interventions, and outcomes.
- Serve as a resource for nursing staff, providing clinical support and guidance.
- Leadership Duties (50%):
- Oversee and coordinate daily operations of the nursing unit, ensuring effective communication among staff.
- Facilitate staff assignments, optimizing skill mix and workload distribution.
- Mentor and support nursing personnel, promoting a collaborative and positive work environment.
Qualifications:
Essential Requirements:
Minimum of two years of nursing experience in a relevant clinical specialty and/or prior Charge Nurse experience.
Proficiency in using personal computers and healthcare software.
Current nursing license in good standing.
Valid BLS healthcare provider certification.
