About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Purchasing Director to lead and manage the procurement operations within our hospitality organization.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Procurement Strategy
  • Develop and implement purchasing strategies aligned with company goals.
  • Analyze market trends to identify cost-saving opportunities and quality improvements.
Vendor Management
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with vendors and suppliers.
  • Evaluate vendor performance to ensure adherence to quality, delivery, and service standards.
Contract Negotiation
  • Negotiate contracts to achieve optimal pricing and service agreements.
  • Monitor compliance with contractual obligations.
Inventory Control
  • Oversee inventory levels to prevent overstocking or shortages.
  • Implement systems to track inventory usage and reduce waste.
Cost Management
  • Monitor budgets and expenditures to ensure cost control.
  • Identify areas for cost reductions without compromising quality.
Compliance and Risk Management
  • Ensure all purchasing activities comply with local and international laws and regulations.
  • Address risks associated with supplier performance or market changes.
Team Leadership
  • Lead and mentor the procurement team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Provide training and development opportunities for team members.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field (Master's preferred).
  • 8+ years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain management, with at least 3 years in a leadership role within the hospitality industry.
  • Strong negotiation skills and ability to develop strategic partnerships.
  • Proficient in procurement software and tools, with strong analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and decision-making abilities.
  • Knowledge of hospitality operations, including food and beverage, housekeeping, and facilities management.

This position operates in a fast-paced environment requiring collaboration with multiple departments, including culinary, housekeeping, and maintenance teams. Occasional travel may be required to visit vendors or company locations.
