Job Overview

The Warehouse Training Specialist plays a crucial role in educating staff on the essential processes and protocols required for their roles within the logistics environment. This position may also involve performing operational tasks when not engaged in training activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Training Duties:
    • Conduct on-the-job training for new, current, and less experienced team members on the warehouse floor and equipment operation.
    • Instruct on the safe operation of machinery and powered industrial tools, including RF scanners and forklifts.
    • Provide guidance on operational procedures and protocols.
    • Educate employees on safety standards to ensure secure job performance and equipment handling.
    • Maintain accurate training records and verify completion of training modules.
  • Operational Tasks:
    • Safely operate powered industrial equipment and pallet jacks.
    • Prepare orders for shipment by parcel.
    • Document product, packaging, and order details on designated forms.
    • Analyze daily production reports for performance insights.
    • Participate in inventory counts as required.
  • Safety and Compliance:
    • Conduct daily safety inspections of forklift trucks as per the Safety Checklist.
    • Ensure the facility meets inspection readiness at all times based on operational requirements.
    • Report any incidents or safety concerns to the supervisor.
  • Additional Responsibilities:
    • Perform miscellaneous tasks as assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED is preferred.
  • Must possess a valid forklift operator license or be able to obtain one.
  • At least 6 months of experience in a warehouse or distribution setting.

Skills Required:
• Proficient in Microsoft 365.
• Strong communication skills are essential.
• Proven ability to present effectively during training sessions.
• Flexibility in task management while adhering to daily checklists.
• Capable of handling HR and office administrative duties as necessary.
