We are seeking a highly skilled RN-Charge Nurse to join our team at SSM Health St. Joseph Hospital - Lake Saint Louis. As a clinical team lead, you will play a vital role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care, while promoting a positive and inclusive work environment for our staff.

Responsibilities and Requirements

">

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

">

  • Providing leadership and coordination of unit staffing to ensure implementation of clinical objectives and quality patient care.

  • Assigning, directing, educating, and monitoring nursing and support staff during assigned shifts.

  • Evaluating the effectiveness of patient care and identifying any issues that affect desired patient outcomes.

  • Collaborating with advanced practice providers to ensure quality outcomes.

  • Responding to complaints about patient care and managing through established channels.

  • May provide input for hiring, training, directing, developing, and evaluating staff.

  • Works in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience

The ideal candidate will have:

">

  • A graduate degree from an accredited school of nursing or equivalent education for licensure.

  • At least one year of registered nurse experience.

Physical Requirements

">

The successful candidate must be able to:

">

  • Constantly use speech to share information through oral communication.

  • Constantly stand and walk.

  • Frequently lift/carry and push/pull objects weighing 0-25 lbs.

  • Frequently sit, reach, and keyboard use/data entry.

  • Frequently use vision and depth perception for distances near (20 inches or less) and far (20 feet or more) and to identify and distinguish colors.

  • Frequently use smell to detect/recognize odors.

  • Frequently use hearing to receive oral communication, distinguish body sounds, and/or hear alarms, malfunctioning machinery, etc.

  • Occasionally lift/carry and push/pull objects weighing 25-50 lbs.

  • Occasionally lift/move patients.

  • Occasionally bend, stoop, kneel, squat, twist, grip, and repetitive foot/leg and hand/arm movements.

  • Occasionally drive.

  • Rarely crawl and run.

Professional Licenses and Certifications

The successful candidate must hold:

  • Basic Life Support HealthCare Provider (BLS HCP) - American Heart Association (AHA)

  • Registered Professional Nurse (RN) - Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR)

  • Advanced Life Support (ALS) - American Heart Association (AHA)

  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) - American Academy Pediatrics (AAP)

  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) - American Heart Association (AHA)

  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) Essentials - American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP)

Work Details

The job offers a competitive salary range of $60,000 - $80,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience. The shift schedule is Night Shift (United States of America), with a scheduled weekly hour of 36 hours.
