As a Critical Care Nurse Specialist in the Cardiac Intensive Care Unit (CICU), you will play a vital role in providing life-saving treatment to patients with complex cardiac conditions.

About the Role

This is a Full-Time Night (Traditional) Shift position, working 7 pm to 7 am. You will be required to rotate weekends and holidays. In addition to a competitive salary, you may be eligible for a sign-on bonus. Experienced nurses with one year or more of expertise in critical care will receive additional hourly specialty pay.

Responsibilities
  1. Deliver high-quality patient care to critically ill patients with advanced monitoring and invasive equipment requirements.
  2. Conduct comprehensive assessments, devise individualized care plans, and adjust critical drips to ensure hemodynamic stability and sedation levels.
  3. Operate within a Level 1 Trauma Facility unit, contributing to a burgeoning ECMO Program.
Qualifications
  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing; preference given to candidates with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree.
  • Registered Nurse RN Licensure: valid and current Connecticut licensure.
  • A minimum of 1 year of nursing experience in an Acute InPatient setting; ER nursing experience preferred.
  • BLS or CPR Certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
  • ACLS and TNCC certifications required within three months of hire.
Estimated Salary Range

$95,000 - $115,000 per year, depending on experience.
