Salary:

$27.14 - $51.08 per hour (DOE) with a potential sign-on bonus of up to $5,000 for full-time employees.

Job Description:

As an Emergency Response Paramedic, you will be responsible for assessing emergency situations and providing advanced medical care to patients. You will work collaboratively with healthcare team members to ensure effective scene management and patient communication.

Responsibilities include:

  • Assessing each call situation to determine the best course of action while working with progressive paramedic protocols.
  • Utilizing your paramedic skills on medical equipment and procedures, including defibrillator, EKG monitor, oxygen and suction devices, and intravenous fluids to provide advanced medical care.
  • Communicating with patients and loved ones to provide information and assurance that care is being given.
  • Acting as paramedic team leader and taking responsibility for the scene and unit management as needed.
  • Driving the ambulance on 911 responses.
  • Working collaboratively and in a professional manner with all allied health and public safety personnel as well as your fellow paramedics.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
  • California Driver's License.
  • Ambulance Driver's License from DMV.
  • Medical Examiner's Card from DMV.
  • State of California Paramedic License.
  • CPR Card (American Heart Association ONLY, Health Care Provider).
  • ACLS Card (American Heart Association ONLY).
  • Valid driver's license with no more than 2 accidents or tickets within the past 3 years.
