Special Education Teacher Opportunity

Soliant is seeking a dedicated and passionate Special Education Teacher to provide specialized instruction and support to students with disabilities in Hartford, Kansas.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) for students with disabilities, in collaboration with parents, general education teachers, and support staff.
  • Provide direct instruction to students with disabilities, using research-based strategies and accommodations to meet diverse learning needs.
  • Monitor student progress and adjust instructional strategies as needed to ensure student growth and achievement.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and support staff to create a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student progress, IEP goals, and services provided.
  • Communicate regularly with parents and guardians to update them on student progress and discuss educational goals.
  • Participate in IEP meetings, team meetings, and professional development opportunities as required.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Special Education or related field required; Master's degree preferred.
  • Kansas State Department of Education (KSDE) Special Education Teacher certification or eligibility for certification through an alternative pathway.
  • Experience working with students with disabilities preferred.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and collaborate with colleagues, parents, and other stakeholders.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and growth.
Required Licensure and Certifications:
  • State Licensure: Must hold or be eligible for a Kansas teaching license with a Special Education endorsement.
  • Special Education Certification: Must hold or be eligible for Kansas State Department of Education (KSDE) Special Education Teacher certification.
