We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Financial Business Analyst to join our team at Western Digital. As a key member of our financial planning and analysis team, you will be responsible for providing financial expertise and insights to support business decisions.
Key Responsibilities- Financial Forecasting: Develop and maintain short-term (1 quarter), mid-term (4-8 quarters), and long-term (3-5 years) financial forecasts for the Retail HDD business, working closely with cross-functional teams.
- P&L Forecasting: Collaborate with the Market Intelligence team, Business Marketing, and Sales to create P&L forecasts, including price, volume, mix, and cost.
- Risks and Opportunities: Submit and discuss weekly risks and opportunities with the Business Marketing team based on monthly forecasts.
- Long-Range Planning: Develop and submit yearly long-range planning (LRP) P&L forecasts for a 3-5 year period, aligning closely with the Market Intelligence team and Business Marketing.
- Retail Financial Analysis and Reporting: Analyze financial execution and provide insights to enhance retail HDD business performance.
- Operational and Financial Metrics: Prepare and drive operational and financial metrics to support key decision-making and achieve financial targets.
- Deep Dive Analysis: Conduct in-depth analysis of the retail business, including revenue, volume, margin, and customer and product-level data.
- Variance Analysis: Prepare variance analysis to identify Price/Volume/Mix/Cost trends and key drivers.
- Pricing and Contractual Programs: Influence pricing and contractual programs, reviewing competitive positioning, share, customer contracts, and strategic initiatives through data-driven analysis.
- Accounting and Compliance: Ensure accurate accounting of programs by comparing enabled sales pricing with pricing as reported in the GL, working cross-functionally with accounting, sales, and business management to solve root causes and minimize issues regarding timing in compliance with US GAAP.
- Ad-Hoc Analysis and Strategic Initiatives: Prepare ad-hoc analysis and provide financial expertise and insight on strategic or cross-functional initiatives.
- Revenue and Margin Forecasting Models: Maintain and evolve revenue and margin forecasting models and/or metrics and dashboards.
- Process and Tools Improvements: Implement process and tools improvements, possibly involving the utilization of information systems.
