As a wastewater engineer at H2M, you will work on projects spanning the full life cycle, from planning to design, construction, and maintenance. This covers all phases of wastewater design projects, including feasibility studies, detailed construction drawings, and comprehensive internal quality control practices.

In this role, you will independently complete complex development of engineering design, preparation of specifications, compile technical reports, and other activities requiring standard engineering principles and techniques.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Leverage technical expertise to lead project teams and develop overall capabilities.
  • Manage projects from planning to design and construction of wastewater conveyance systems, including pipelines, pump stations, storage, and end-of-pipe treatment facilities.
  • Lead development of construction documents/specifications and handle engineering services during construction.
  • Meet established budgets and delivery schedules for each assignment.
  • Cordinate execution of projects with other disciplines.
  • Develop medium to large planning and design projects from inception to completion.
  • Prepare complete construction packages (including all deliverables) for the engineering, procurement, and construction of WW conveyance systems for clients.
  • Create and manage cost estimates and project schedules.
  • Perform detailed engineering calculations & analysis and utilize design software to solve complex issues.
  • Supervise and support the work of others and mentor junior level engineers & design/drafting technical staff.

Requirements:
  • 10 - 15 years' experience in the planning, design, and construction of municipal WW conveyance.
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental, Chemical or Mechanical Engineering or related field of study.
  • Experience preparing, reviewing, and approving project drawings, specifications, schedules, and cost estimates.
  • Experience in process design, treatment plants upgrades and pump station design.
  • Strong client relationship skills, including proposal writing and client management experience with a successful record of accomplishment.
  • Ability to analyze data and solve complex technical problems.
  • Willngness to develop competence in a broad array of engineering related tasks.
  • Ability to train and mentor junior level staff.
  • P.E. required.

The salary range for this role is $120,000 - $160,000 annually. The employment offer may deviate based on a variety of factors.
