Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide excellent customer service and support to patients and customers
  • Analyze patient eyewear needs and recommend specific lenses, lens coatings, and frames to satisfy their needs
  • Assist patients in selecting frames according to style and color, ensuring frames are coordinated with facial and eye measurements and optical prescriptions
  • Order and dispense eyewear accurately and professionally
  • Assist patients with proper frame repairs and adjustments
  • Show patients how to insert, remove, and care for their contact lenses
  • Assist Optometrist with case histories and screenings
Requirements:
  • High School Graduate or equivalent
  • Ability to maintain a complete knowledge of third-party plans and claims
  • Ability to explain promotions and special lens offerings to patients and customers
  • Ability to balance accounts and prepare work orders containing specific instructions for Optical Lab
  • Ability to process medical billing information
  • Ability to ensure proper merchandising of frame inventory
