Key Responsibilities: What does a Retail Service Supervisor (RSS) do?


• The Retail Service Supervisor role allows you to refine the skills you've developed as a technician (approximately 80% of the time) while starting to acquire the leadership skills necessary to manage your service center and eventually become a Shop Manager.


• The primary duty of an RSS is to carry out all technician responsibilities, including but not limited to:


• Draining motor oil, changing oil filters, and greasing chassis fittings


• Cleaning windshields and adjusting tire pressure


• Inspecting and replenishing fluids


• Assisting customers in selecting oil types and additional services


• Processing payments for services rendered


• Conducting coolant exchanges and transmission drain & fill services


• Restocking and maintaining inventory levels on the shop floor


• Ensuring cleanliness in the shop, office, and restroom areas


• Checking in with customers before they leave to ensure a positive experience


• Overseeing the proper operation of the store in the absence of the Shop Manager


• Executing opening and closing procedures


• Assisting with inventory counting and adjustments


• Serving as a role model for other employees in the shop, without the responsibilities of hiring, firing, or similar employment decisions.

Qualifications: Important Information Before You Begin


• Initially, it may feel like you are preparing for an exam. It is crucial for all employees to gain a thorough understanding of our oils and services.


• Must be able to maneuver in and out of a shallow 3' deep pit for safe positioning under vehicles


• You will be required to walk, stand, bend, stoop, twist, etc., for extended periods and perform tasks involving holding, grasping, pulling, and turning


• Ability to work in varying weather conditions (hot/cold)


• Always remain alert and aware of your surroundings


• Must be capable of lifting up to fifty (50) pounds


• Reliable transportation is necessary
