Job Opportunity:

We are seeking a skilled Internal Medicine Physician to join our team at BAS Healthcare. As a medical professional, you will be responsible for conducting medical disability examinations and evaluations for the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct medical disability examinations and evaluations on a PRN basis
  • Willing to accept various specialties, including family medicine, internal medicine, and orthopedic surgery
  • Perform exams at leased facilities or schedule Veterans within your own practice
  • Conduct one-time non-treatment C&P exams and separation health assessments
  • Use a goniometer and be familiar with musculoskeletal, diabetes, and cardiovascular conditions
  • Proficient in METs testing, evaluating, and diagnosing respiratory, cardiovascular, and neurological conditions
  • Submit reports within 48 hours and complete evaluations in the provider portal
  • Record review and follow-up administrative work required

Compensation:
  • Half-day rate for 4-hour shifts or less
  • Daily rate for 5-hour shifts or longer
  • One-time bonus for completing required training and performing first exams

Requirements:
  • Private company providing medical disability examination and evaluation services
  • Leased facilities for exams
  • Quick credentialing and onboarding
  • Use of personal laptop (no MACs)
