The Medical Observation Unit (MOU) is a 28-bed unit that specializes in the care of adult and geriatric patients with disease processes, including Acute Kidney Injury, Cellulitis, Transient Ischemic Attack (TIA), and other conditions requiring further medical observation.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide effective direct care as part of the interdisciplinary team to a variety of complex patients.
- Seek and provide feedback for improved clinical practice.
- Assume a beginning clinical bedside leadership role and seek mentoring in this process.
- Participate in unit-based shared governance activities and contribute to quality improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with other care team members to recruit and retain an excellent nursing care team.
- Licensure: Licensed to practice as an RN in Georgia.
- Education: Associate's Degree, ADN, or Diploma required.
- Experience: At least 1 year of RN experience, with demonstrated competence in RN I performance expectations or meets experience requirements upon hire.
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN).
- Previous specialty experience.
- Weight Lifted: Up to 100 lbs, Occasionally 0-30% of time.
- Weight Carried: Up to 50 lbs, Occasionally 0-30% of time.
- Vision: Moderate, Frequently 31-65% of time.
