Job Summary

MedPro Healthcare Staffing is seeking a skilled Long Term Acute Care Registered Nurse to join our team of healthcare professionals. As a travel nurse, you will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic and challenging environment, providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our clients.

Job Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients with complex medical needs, including those with pulmonary HTN, respiratory failure, COPD, CHF, and A-Fib.
  • Monitor and adjust specialized equipment used on patients, and record and interpret electronic displays.
  • Educate patients and family members on surgical processes and how to manage their illness or injury.
  • Administer medications, including oral, subcutaneous, and IV medications.
  • Start IVs, draw blood, and perform other nursing procedures as needed.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
  • Conduct thorough assessments of patients' physical and emotional needs, and develop strategies to address these needs.
  • Document patient care and progress in a clear and concise manner.
Requirements
  • Active RN license in good standing.
  • At least 18 months of recent experience in a Long Term Acute Care setting.
  • Experience with vents, trachs, drips, EG tubes, and the ability to read tele-strips.
  • BLS and ACLS certifications.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adjust to changing priorities.
