About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Loader Operator to join our team at Disability Solutions. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient daily operation of our process plant, assisting and supporting the operation to effectively maintain the power generation facility's fuel feed.

Position Responsibilities:
  • Operate heavy equipment front end loaders to feed RDF material onto one or more fuel feed systems in a consistent manner to support full-load boiler operation.
  • Spot incoming waste trucks and direct dumping location on the tipping floor.
  • Oversee and assist with loading of non-ferrous metals into transport trailers.
  • Work in ash house, loading ash trucks and maintain operation of ash house equipment.
  • Maintain cleanliness of equipment and an orderly clean work area.
  • Perform daily routine pre-operational inspection of heavy equipment and fuel feed conveyor equipment and fill out required log sheets.
  • Perform checks as required by the weekly activities book, the monthly critical items check lists, etc.
  • Perform troubleshooting on equipment, reporting all malfunctioning equipment to the shift supervisor for the issuance of work orders.
  • Maintain proper fuel, lubricant, and oil levels for operation of equipment.
  • Perform lockout and tagout of equipment in support of maintenance activities.
  • Perform additional tasks as directed by the shift supervisor or his/her designee.
Position Requirements & Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • CDL Class B License preferred.
  • Must have the ability to work a rotating shift schedule.
  • Must be able to read, write and speak English.
  • Must be able to operate a Front Loader or heavy equipment.
Physical Demands of the Role:
  • Ability to walk, stand, sit, and climb.
  • Ability to lift/carry 50lbs.
  • Ability to work from heights and in confined spaces.
  • Qualify to wear a full-face respirator.
  • Consistently work in various weather conditions.
